O'siyo All ---
I ran across the following snippet in my local paper [05/31]
thought some of y'all might find it of interest:
A.P. Wireservice
Heading South
Columbia, S.C. --
" Mel Gibson...will head to South Carolina in the fall to make (a) movie.
Scenes from "The Patriot", starring Gibson, will be filmed in Charleston, Chester, York and Georgetown counties.
"The Patriot" will loosely follow the life of Francis Marion, the "Swamp Fox" of Revolutionary War fame."
The "Swamp Fox" with an Aussie accent? Loosely follow??
I suppose *if* this film is of the same caliber, production-wise, as "Braveheart", it could do for Rev' War reenacting what that one did for kilts ;-)
(LOTM didnt hurt interest in F&I War reenacting either)...
