I am going to keep this as simple and to the point as poossible. The quotes you used obviously ignore the rest of the article which clearly show the FACTUAL based history of Black Confederates. McPherson, and the other Politically Correct Historians you chose to mention, have clearly chosen to uphold that sense of politically correctness instead of being truly independent of outside influences. The problem with people in this society is they see all of these degrees mentioned after an individual's name and decide, without any independent thinking of their own, that this individual's word is the gospel. The ironic thing is you totally ignore the quotes of Ervin Jordan, historian and professor at the University of Virginia and writer of "Black Confederates and Afro-Yankees", Dr. Ed Smith of American University, and Nelson Winbush who has documented proof his ancestor rode with Nathan Bedford Forrest. All of these individuals I have mentioned are African American by the way.
Our web site is not internet revisionism as you refer to it, but a compilation of FACTS put together by some very serious amateur and PROFESSIONAL historians, of which I am only one. My credentials? I am a Professor of Research skills at Clarion University of PA as well as a historian. I am in the process of getting my own phd so my skills and credentials are well based. You may also add the fact that retired professor Ed Jones of the University of Washington in Seattle has talked to me and has become a personal mentor if you will. Historical Revuisionism is when you take quotes from an article that fit your views without acknowledginbg the WHOLE article which is what you did.
If by chance you can make it to Colonial Williamsburg, VA a week from today, I and my colleague and fellow reenactor, Sgt Anthony Searles will be more than happy to chat with you. By the way he is another African American histoprian like myself and teaches at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. That is an Ivy League school by the way!
