Okay, I'll take a guess, which will be completely wrong, but whatever. Here goes:
The red rockets over Ft. Wm-Henry and the concrete (not wood or stone!) bridge over the river in the carriage scene.
Is that even close? This is a good, prickly question, BTW. |

You got those off of IMDB, and that bridge is brick and is period correct.....I've been meaning to get them to change that listing in their goofs section.
No, the packs that Hawkeye and Uncas carry are not correct for the time period of the French and Indian war. Even the name gives them away, they are called the "New Invented Haversack of 1776"

You know, I have never noticed them carrying the haversacks. Guess I will have to watch it again.
And I still think the gun and the bearskin hats was a great answer :-P |

Ok, next question:
Why was Hawkeye so sunburned in the last scene with Chingachgook and Cora? |

Actually, I didn't. I remembered the rockets from Wes1761's question about them a while back. (Where is that guy, anyway? He hasn't been around for a long time.) And I think I saw a comment about the bridge somewhere on this site before. . . . Oh well!
So what's the answer? What are the two things? You have me intrigued. |

The picture I posted was the answer... the two haversacks they always carried....were not "invented" until 1776. |

Sunburned can't say I ever noticed him sunburned but I will definitely go and check when I can.
They didn't have sunblock back then hence the sunburn. |

Oops. Duh! Sorry. . . . my brain is mush these days!
Now, why was Hawkeye sunburned? Because if you're as pale as he is you can't run up rock faces all day, chasing after your lady love, without some repercussions!
Kidding, obviously. . . |

Let's see . . . why was Hawkeye sunburned?
Was the last scene reshot after the original filming had already been finished? I think I remember something about refilming, but I don't know if it was the last scene or not. If so, DDL was off doing other things and other roles, so he didn't have the "Hawkeye" look anymore. Maybe . . . ? |

*bingo*.. Shooting had wrapped and DDL went to the Bahamas for some R&R and was lying on a beach getting sunburned when Michael Mann re-called him to reshoot the final scene. |

Wish I had a life where I could go to the Bahamas after I finished a project! Wouldn't that be nice? I can only dream. . . .
Now I guess I have to come up with a question. Drat. Back in a bit.

Okay, just decided to add to this post instead of making a whole new one. Question is:
Which member of the LOTM cast is a former ballroom dancing instructor? |

You're in the hotseat again, Hawkeye Joe!
On a side note: It's hard to imagine RM as a dancing instructor, isn't it? My sister stumped me with this question when she decided to test my degree of obsession with LOTM. My guess was DDL, just because I couldn't imagine ANY of the cast as ballroom dancers. But now that I think about it, maybe this explains the finesse with which Ching dispatches Magua at the end of the film. |

Maurice Roeves was a Romulan in one of the Next Generation shows--although with all that make-up on its hard to tell it's him.
If this is the answer you were after, let me know. I'll start thinking about a question. |

Really? That's funny. I don't know why, but it is. I think I have a hard time picturing Maurice Roeves without the grey wig and redcoat uniform. Add a Romulan costme to that, and it makes for a really goofy image, no?

I'm not sure if this has been a question before, because I haven't read all 20 pages of this game. . .
Between the three of them, Uncas, Hawkeye and Chingachgook, how many Hurons did they dispatch on the cliffs in one way or another before Chingachgook finally killed Magua? |

I finally have some time, so since no one has responded to this question, I'll post a new one. I guess no one wants to sit and count the dead or injured Hurons, like I did. . .what fun!
Anyway, new question (I hope it hasn't been asked before):
How come Uncas could not have seen Chief Joseph Brandt's field on the way to the Cameron's cabin? |
