Nope I am talking about the rep who was onsite for a portion of the movie.

Because of lengthy shootings the rep from Fox was sent to stand behing Michael and make sure he told him to move on to the next scene. It was costing more money than necessary because of all the retakes.

By most accounts, there were on average at least 20 takes for each set-up. Such lengthy shootings (and the ensuing costs) would account for 20th Century Fox sending a Rep to do nothing except stand behind Mann and say, "That's enough Michael, move on".

Basically the same thing.

Looks like Irish gets the hot seat.

LOL!
I can just picture the poor Rep standing behing Michael and shaking his head in frustration over all the takes and retakes, and retakes of retakes!
The poor guy was probably loseing his mind!

Sorry about the delay in getting a question but hard to find one.

In the DVD version of the movie, name a scene between Hawkeye and Major Heyward which has been removed?.

Too easy I know but gets me off the "hotseat".

And it's one of the best lines in the movie.....

HAWK

Benjamin Franklin 1750

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for
lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote."
Benjamin Franklin 1759

The existence of flamethrowers is proof that someone, somewhere, said to himself, "I want to set those people over there on fire, but I don't feel like walking over there to do it."

Finally, someone who agrees with me!
The movie just isn't the same without it. The rivalry between the two is escalated by that comment, it should have been required in both releases!

Okay. Let's see...

In the book who was Magua's lady of interest and what did he do to her?

I agree as well. "losing" that line negates a great deal of the tension to me, anyway...definitely should have been left in there.

Ooh, ooh! I think I know this one!

Magua wanted to make Cora his squaw in Cooper's LOTM. Holding her at knifepoint, he demands, "Woman, choose: the wigwam or the knife of Le Subtil!" Then Uncas springs out of the forest to try to save her....

I love this book. And, you know, I can hear Wes Studi's Magua saying something like that.

Not quite . . . Magua doesn't actually kill Cora. He wants to but can't:

The form of the Huron trembled in every fibre, and he raised his arm on high, but dropped it again with a bewildered air, like one who doubted. Once more he struggled with himself and lifted the keep weapon again.

Then enter Uncas, leaping from a ridge above, and "Magua recoil[s] a step."

Cora does get killed, but by whom? And what happens to her killer?

In Cooper's LOTM, who kills Cora? And what happens to her killer?

Well, it seems that one of Magua's men killed Cora and that he then was attacked by both Uncas and Magua. Magua took the time to stab Uncas in the back but Uncas still attacked Cora's killer. Though it doesn't say he killed him he did "strike him to his feet".

Speaking of "flamethrowers" I saw on the news the other day where a lot of teenagers in particular, are making their own "home-made" flamethrowers just for the heck of it. Becoming quite popular apparently and they post their videos on Youtube for all to see. Sounds "weird" and "dangerous" to me. Just thankful my two teens are not into making their own "flamethrowers" yet at least as far as I know.

Ok, what two articles were in the movie that should never have been there? Not the bus or the elk wrangler or the guy with the megaphone. What was there that couldn't have been there in 1757?
