I just came across this post and thought I would post about our nickname.
Our last name is Batliner (my husband thinks he is the original Batman)
We live at a lake Named Lake Lotawana.
So, we put the two together and voila...Batawana...pretty cheesey HUH!
Our other nickname is Lotaliners but some people get the wrong idea with that one...

The stone lapus or lapis is a deep, deep sky blue my fav color and makes beautiful jewlery.

The mudpit...hmmm...
Let's see...
I do believe it began when Obi kept ripping on our beloved Uncas and then Irish threatened to take him to the mudpit and I volunteered to go along.
Kentucky Frontiersman got the pit once - possibly agreeing with Obi on something ...can't remember but he got it nonetheless.
Anyway, the mudpit is our favorite place to put geezers when they get out of line. They like it really. Obi even googled "Mudpits" to see how many links he'd find.
BTW, Obi - you've been too quiet so I'm taking you to the mudpit just for the hey of it!
