Oh! Look! There it is!! (The sun... not the dove!)

Oh durn... you missed it! It was there a moment ago... Gotta look quick here in Binghamton.

At least I managed to get my lawn mowed on Sunday between showers. That dangblasted lawn! Why does it have to keep growing anyway?

Saw the sun all day Saturday, briefly yesterday and some today. Now, along with that good ol' Mr. Sun comes the humidity. YUK! And them dang ol' skeeters!

Pant...pant...pant... Heavy breathing....wiping sweat from brow.

Oh sorry.... Building ark didn't realize you were standing there... Flood coming fast, must be prepared. How do I know this. Well, very very VERY big snapping turtle wound up in my yard. I don't normally live near any water, do now . Flood must be on the way.

P.S. Cherie, you had me worried for a moment there, what with all of that panting and heavy breathing...

Spring...what is the meaning of spring in Southern California? Maybe, its wearing shorts and not freezing...maybe. I dunno. California weather is sooo confusing and unpredictable. Even the weathermen on the news can't get it right!!!

Well, now I feel like my buddy Securemann in the "Deep Freeze" thread, but ...

This is getting ridiculous! Rain & dreariness day after day after day. Oh sure, a bright spot now & then, but then it's back, quickly, to rain and dreariness. No heat, even. Cool, rain and dreariness!

Yes, we needed the rain ... badly ... but, enough is enough. Where the heck is the sun?

On the bright side, those of you coming to these parts any time soon, and visiting the rivers & streams & falls, are in for a treat. I imagine Hickory Nut Falls, down in Chimney Rock Park, is raging right about now. And, imagine if we were having the Gathering [which we aren't] and had included the Nolichucky on the docket [which we hadn't] ... what a ride that would be! Maybe we'll be so lucky next year.

Anyway, I long to hear George Harrison singing, "Here comes the sun."
