Thank you very much everybody!!!
BTW... I know I filled out my birthday information and apparently it worked since everyone knows it's my birthday. But... where do you see it on the board?! I've looked around and don't see it announced anywhere!! Have I gone blind (I am older you know...)??!! |

Have you found it yet, Old Man?
It's at the bottom of the main board page ... in the Event's Calender ... off to the right. See it? |

Hey!! what's up with the "old man" stuff??!! I'm not a day over 16... ask my wife, she'll tell you!
Ok... after being lead by the nose, I've finally located it. You know, I didn't even know there was a bottom to that page! I guess I'll have to look more often now.
Thanks! |

You're that old, Marc? I think Lainey might tell you I'm stuck at 12!
OK, Chris, you will need that icon after this - it's a little tricky. If you try it - and by all means do! - go slow & easy..
It's not that bad, really.
Go to the bottom of the main board page & click on the word "Events." Alternately, you can use the link at the upper right hand corner of every page.
That takes you to the Events Calender where you can choose a view - daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Find the date you want. UNFORTUNATELY, this version of the Calender doesn't allow you to pick a range of dates for a single event, ala the Gathering. Each day has to be entered individually if you want to do that. Anyway, I stray ...
After you navigate to the date, choose, from the drop down menu, the forum you want the event to be listed in. Then click, "GO."
From here in, it's just like any other post. When done, it will appear just like any other post, as well, but will also show up in the calender.
OK?
Now, go smash a computer! |

So, if I want to put my birthday in, do I have to do it on my birthday? Otherwise, why doesn't it just post the message today (which is not my birthday)? |

HUH?!? I'm not sure I understand this question ...
The birthday part of the events calender operates independently. You need not make a post to have that show up. In your profile, there's a place to enter your birthdate. If you do that correctly, your birthday will begin to show 30 days prior to it, if you have posted within 30 days. Otherwise, nada ... |
