This Saturday, June 21, 2003 - on what would have been the 4th of 5 days of the now postponed 6th Great Mohican Gathering - our very own JAYNE LANGAN will be getting hitched!!!
I remember Jayne as a very quiet Gatherer back at her first in 2000. But, she became an integral part of things, last year ably taking over the reigns of Ariel's Auction & generally being an important part of things. Actually - and, yes, I digress - one of the main reasons we decided to go forward with a Fifth Gathering was because of Jayne's offer to carry on with that project that makes the Gathering a worthwhile endeavor ...
Congratulations Jayne, and to the lucky groom - Don Miller - on your marriage. May the future hold many, many happy years for you both!
Oh, & this from sister Karen's hubby Jim:

We got the chance to know Jayne more at last year's Gathering and what a delightful person she is!! Here's wishing you a beautiful wedding and a beautiful life.

GASP!! I feel so out-of-touch with everyone here. Been a bit distracted with wedding this and wedding that!  But...it was brought to my attention that some of you have so kindly sent your good wishes. Thanks so much to everyone. The deed will be done at 4:30 this afternoon - outside - and it is a GORGEOUS day here in Indy. Low humidity, pure blue skies, and perfect temp. I wasn't too hopeful earlier since we've had oppressive humidity and lots of rain. I feel truly blessed with such perfect weather, but especially since our families will all be with us today. Including Jim, who will NOT be dancing nude - he'll be wearing his hunting cap! He just can't decide which one. Hope he makes the decision soon since time's a-wastin'!
Thanks for all your kind thoughts and words. Hopefully, will see you all at the 2004 Gathering!

Ya know... at first glance it appears Jayne has a chain around her ankle so she COULDN'T get away. But on closer inspection it is just part of a fence like thingy.
