We would have to raise money to get Wes to a Gathering. I think that Stephanie had asked about Wes coming to the last Gathering and it was going to cost around $5000.00, and we just couldn't raise that kind of money. If we could get any of them, we would have to pay for their air fare, lodging, and possibly a speaking engagement fee. But it doesn't matter if we don't get any of the actors there. It really is fun just meeting and getting to know fellow Mohicanlanders.

WHOA ! Where can I get a contract that I can make $5000 just to grace someone with my presence?! Sign me up! QUICK!
Well, it would be nice to do a little star gazing  but I guess the movie will have to suffice. <<sigh>>
Besides, with all the new faces to put to names the let down will be a momentary loss.

I know, that might seem like alot to you and me, but I guess that when you figure in his airline ticket, lodging, food, etc. then it can get on up there.
We could ask Liaison about Eric, but I don't see him being any cheaper than Wes. It costs to get a big name out there, except for our very own Eric Hurley aka Soldier #2. He will be there with his trusty laser pointer so that none of us miss his scenes in the movie. I was so proud to see that he actually has a place at IMDB. I think that it needs to be updated, but at least he is there. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0403437/

Ok now I have to start budgeting my money. I had more than enough to go a month ago, but it has wittled away quickly. Hopefully with the job I just got I can save more. Ugh and I would probably be driving down there all the way from Michigan. Never been on a plane and don't want to get on one alone for the first time.
I am still hoping to come and will be saving my pennies as I still have to get my liscense and then a car and insurance. Ugh money never is there when you need it. |
There are easier things in life then trying to find a good guy..... Nailing jelly to a tree for example. |
