I have just read a review of the new Daniel Day-Lewis release, The Gangs of New York. The review is greatly in his favour and praises his performance and his acting methods. He is recognised as being a serious actor and not vain, and how he has become famous for 'becoming' the character he plays. It even mentions a sitation when co-star Cameron Diaz passed Day-Lewis after shooting had finished for the day and called him by his character name, Bill.
The best bit was near the end of the article, saying Day-Lewis would be a hot contender for the Best Actor award at the Oscars next year!
It was nice to read something positive about the film, it looks like a must see. There was a picture of DDL and even though he is made to look like a bit of a rough/ugly bloke in the film, you can still see the gorgeous intensity of his beautiful brown eyes. (sorry, couldnt resist that bit)!

| I had Regis and Kelly on this morning and the Premiere was last night and both Regis and Kelly's husband gave it a good review and said they think DDL should get an Oscar for GONY. I can't wait till this comes out; it's been so long since he's done a movie. :) |
