Has anyone noticed, at the burial mound scene, when Cora stated her beautiful, "it is more deeply stiring thru my blood," then lays down that Hawkeye took a once over look. I got to thinking...some three hundred years later and men haven't changed that much, they see a woman that fascinates them and they have to look over the package. No offense guys!

Don't know about you ladies but I'd love to stand in for Cora on that part!!! LOL

I live in my own little world - but that's okay, they know me here!

OH YEA! Something else I forgot to mention...
At that same scene Cora used some of Nathaniel's powder for the pistol she picked up...where did she learn that
Women didn't participate in combat so how would she had known how to load a gun? I doubt her father taught her since gun slinging was a man's duty or was it really that easy to load one?
My expeirence w/weaponry has introduced me to muskets and experience has taught me if the gun is not loaded with powder correctly you could burn your face when shooting one (No it's not happened to me!) but it wasn't particularly easy to load without being taught and cleaning it was a real pain!
Any thoughts?

Well, I think what she said had a lot to do with how she was feeling about him. "More deeply stirring to my blood", etc. Sounds to me like she had already checked him out!!

Spot on, Autumn.........

Checking out the goods is a great sport, no matter what your gender, (as long as you're checking the opposite gender.........IMNSHO).

Life's journey is not to
arrive at the grave safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting
'...holy sh*t ...what a ride!'

Right, Seamus??

You know that old saying: "Just because there is snow on the roof..."

Oh, phooey. Nathaniel was just being a normal, healthy, red-blooded American boy! No pig at all.

Case well won, MG!

Let's face it ladies........ I think most of us here would prefer to be looked over rather than over looked by either Daniel, Wes or Eric (and there may be others popular too )

They are all there, but one.

Exactly. And if she didn't have anything in her mind why would she come close to him, in the middle of the night, apologise, ask all those questions...
