Hey, I just went to that "MaleSkins" website again. Looks like the 2007 calendar is all sold out. Which of you girls is stockpiling? Come on, I know you are....
As for the trivia game, I guess I killed it. Here's my old question and the answer, in case anybody's curious:
Q: To which regiment does Duncan belong in Cooper's novel? A: The 60th Regiment, known as the Royal Americans (hence my hint). Side note for 's like me: It makes sense for Cooper's Duncan to be in the Royal Americans because he is, after all, an American. In the movie, however, Duncan is British and it wouldn't make much sense for him to be a major of the 60th. So the regiments are flip-flopped for the purposes of the film: Duncan travels to Ft. Wm.-Henry with the 35th, a British Regiment, while Webb goes "marching the 60th to Ft. Edward." Told you I'm a .
Now for a new question. Back to the drawing board.... |

A lot more than the regiments were flip-flopped. The Cora-Alice thing was too. |

Yeah, maybe it's not fair to compare the movie with the book. It seems like a totally different story in many respects.
But I, in all my nerdiness, found the switching of the regiment numbers kind of interesting. Either someone did a little homework or the numbers just happen to make sense in the film. If you look at the original script, though, Webb was supposed to refer to the 62nd and 33rd regiments. Somebody changed the numbers, for some reason.
Anyways, I guess I have to ask another question now. Here's another one based on the book:
Which Munro daughter is Natty's love interest in Cooper's LOTM? |

I want to say that it was neither of them. But I remember from Deerslayer that he has a soft spot for "simple" girls- more an Alice type. |

Okay, I thought of one for you guys. It's pretty easy. What color was the horse that Col. Munro was riding when they left the fort and were heading thru the clearing? |

okay, I have your answer, LLOF. It was four horses pulling with one horse attached to the back of the carriage. Making it five horses but there was eight all together if you count the two riders ahead of the carriage and the one in back. Hope I got it right! |
