Ya better watch it again MeggieD. In my last re-watch I saw his braid at least 3 other times. In the 'tracking the war party' scene, in the forest before they arrive at the fort (when he looks back over his shoulder the first time), and in the massacre scene.

Sounds like an "Uncas' braid" specific re-watch is in order. And then a new thread "Uncas and his braid".

And then, a Hawkeye specific re-watch: how many times does his hair style change?

And for Mt Man, a Magua-specific re-watch theme of 'how many different ways does he kill his enemies". Any other ideas???

Although I don’t really get into this specific re-watch thing, if I was inclined to do one, it might be for Cora cleavage shots. Hey! paazau, you asked! That’s one up for the guys.

Just the natural evolution of LOTM message threads Mt Man. All threads lead to Uncas... and the gutter.

After just sitting here watching this WONDERFUL film yet again, almost frame by frame, gee that's hard, esp when Eric is in the scene,.....ahhhhhh sigh heavily,.........lol.....

The braid appears after the waterfall. Uncas has one on the right as well which is not seen through the beginning of the film. His back braid falls forward a lot but i don't see a side one?!?!?!

Pitty Eric has short hair now, how many of us would just love to sit and braid it for him, even now!?!?!?!? tee hee hee

They are all there, but one.
I, Chingachgook, Last of the Mohicans.
