The budget is already packed and the drill is getting better. It's up the Hudson and down the Mohawk and on to Fort Niagara. I will have to miss Monday's festivities since I must head back. It was great seeing Seamus and WW at Ft. Ti!

Aye, Kurt, it was good seeing you, again, too! Sure had fun at Ti! We won't be at Niagara. Be safe, have fun, stay cool (HAH!!) and watch out for the June Bug attacks!

Life's journey is not to
arrive at the grave safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting
'...holy sh*t ...what a ride!'

The temperatures were more moderate and the breeze off Lake Ontario were always cool and refreshing. The Crown's cannon got spiked Saturday when we were kept on the left flank. On Sunday, we were tasked with the right flank. We chased their scouts back to the center and filled any holes in our lines. Our drilling in parapet fire both advance and retreat came in handy. Nothing upsets French sergeants more when they order a volley than the line of Rangers dropping down, waiting for the balls to pass, and springing up and continuing to fire. We Rangers must have done something right on Sunday because the English and the colonial officers saluted us as we marched back to camp. I had a personal best in that my Bess fired over thirty cartridges with no misfires.
