Hi Carol,
I would like to wish you and all of the Mohicanlanders a very happy
New Year!!!!!!
I always make resolutions and try my best to keep them. I made a resolution last New Year's to lose some weight and I did. This year, I'm not going to make any resolutions about weight or anything like that. I think that I will make a resolution to try to quit holding grudges. I think that I hold on to bad feelings too long and I want to quit doing that. Yes, I have made up my mind that this will be my New Year's resolution.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!!!
Is anybody eating collards and black eye peas tomorrow??? I know that it is just superstition, but I need all the luck that I can get.

Love,
Kay

Hi Carol and Kay,

Happy New Year to you all!!!! 2005 already... crazy. As for resolutions, every one I've ever made, I've never kept them. I tend to get lazy and forget. :-p Collards and black eye peas, Kay? That's one superstition I've never heard of!!!

Take care,
Nathan

Nathan,
Collards is for enough money to last us through the year and the black eye peas are for good luck. We also have ham and cornbread, but they don't mean anything, they just go real good with collards and black eye peas. I actually think that you can have any kind of greens, but the greens of choice for most people is collards. It's a southern thing. I have a friend in Pa. that says that their good New Year's meal consists of pork, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. This is also supposed to bring luck throughout the year.

Love,
Kay

A New Years dinner? Never heard of it and I'm from NY!
I don't have a resolution, but I do like the kindness factor.
