...Did Cora really learn to speak Mohican in the week or so that she spends with our heroes?

The dialogue between the three as they contemplate leaving is all in Indian tongue, and their body language is not indicative of their intentions. For instance no one gestures toward the waterfall.

I wonder how Cora knew what they were talking about in order to say, "Go Ahead, save yourselves!"

Maybe Cora new that Uncas was watching for the Hurons and when Uncas appeared walking down to them, she figured the Hurons were coming??
