Wow, the movie is filled with beautiful, emotional music. The whole soundtrack blows my mind! If you had to pick one song off the LOTM movie/soundtrack..what would it be? Mine was "Promontory"...the music was beautiful, emotional, breathtaking, ugh..I could go on and on..:)

I would have to choose "The Kiss" and "Promontory" - but that actually counts as only one selection, as both were based on a tune called "The Gael" that was composed by Dougie McLean (hope I got the spelling right!). If you listen to them both closely, you'll hear the same basic melody during both of these scenes. The musical arrangements and orchestration for each scene do have distinct variatons, and I must defer to another part of this board where the explanations on the music are beautifully addressed (I believe it's over in the Mohican Musings???).

The music playing during "The Kiss" is by far my favorite, but a close second would be "Fort Battle".

My first choice: definitely any scene in which "The Gael" is played. I adore that melody.

My second choice: anywhere the "main theme" is played. You know... the one Rich has on the Home page of the site.

Definetly have to say "I will find you" by Clannad! Then perhaps "the kiss"!

I have to agree with Rich--I love the music played during the Burial Scene. It is hauntingly beautiful. Second would be Promentory.

What you give of yourself is priceless.
