There is supposed to be a movie out this winter with Eric Schweig as an Apache.

Yes, the movie is The Missing, directed by Ron Howard, stars Tommy Lee Jones and Cate Blanchett.

We saw the previews to this when we went to see Open Range. Looks like a very suspenseful movie....isn't this based on a book?

THE MISSING is based on the novel THE LAST RIDE by Thomas Eidson. Eric plays the villain, an Apache witch who kidnaps Tommy Lee Jones' granddaughter (Cate Blanchett's daughter). Some have said it plays like a cross between THE SEARCHERS and THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS.
