The most harrowing of all the Gatherings for me personally - not till it was over was I able to fully appreciate it for what it was!

The 1999 Great Mohican Gathering featuring a very special guest!

Another in a series - by Daire!

[English Trader], Sarah Z. [DDLfan], and someone who prefers to remain anonymous [Enchilada] - Now, if only we could get more of these folks to post and participate more often!!!

The fog was the best part! Poor Jeff was totally covered in pollen and drenched!
We got to witness the Sweetser "chicken dance". Got to see the falls.
I got to meet Eric.... I had a wonderful time!

Yes, I remember that Gathering maybe not as well as I would hope to! I remember ONE group heading out for the top of the world and going back and forth and I remember meeting them in the fog shrouded dripping green veggatation....but only....Jeff always had that CAMERA attached to his eye??? we always wondered if he had two eyes; then our line up to wish him goodby and Soldier #2!!! And the bunkhouse...another tall tale! We did sing Happy Birthday to Jeff one Gathering at the Falls! While once again, searching for the path to get there....before it became a park! Do I detect a theme here!!! WE ALWAYS had a great time though!

One more thought, I never saw that Chicken dance, even if it was my sister; WHY DID she do it? Thanks for the great MMMMarcia to capture it in an old post!

Secondly, for all of those Mr. Schweig fans, nothing will ever compare to being at the Pavillion, trying to eat that meal, then having, off in the distance, Mr. Schweig, who was let off in a car and walked up to the front of the Pavillion. The expectation was thicker than thick. Ayesha (another former poster and good friend) was besides herself as were most of us...Maybe not Colin who had to take pictures...MOST let him sit and eat and talk, then slowly, slowly, the cameras and what not started...he was very gracious and good natured to let us all have pictures with him; I will never forget the CLAPPING and what not when my sisters and I took to the "stage" and had our pics taken with him...a really unforgetable moment for me. Wish all who were there would be seeing this and acknowledge my thanks for a great moment!

And then there was Mr. Studi, who after signing multiple items, had to use the facilities, in OUR room at the Geneva....what a scene....

And now Chink....don't know how we'll top the others!!

Stories, Stories, I don't have as many as Rich and Elaine....

Jo
a very very old poster (get that cane out!)
