Ain't life grand?!? As Ilse so deftly pointed out, where else can a topic go from The Death Penalty to "The Honeymooners" - with the burning question: Is Lainey a better "man" than securemann? thrown in - without missing a beat? Only here! 
OK ... to business:
The lingering upgrade question: I mean, who cares? In case someone does ... I go back & forth on this. One minute, I'm just about to do it, the next I'm thinking, "If it ain't broke ..." The performance & security are top-notch; really makes me want to do it. But, though most add-ons are now available, we will lose, however temporarily:
- The Gatherings Attended field (and the number of posts would reappear)
- Some of the topic sorting feature ... meaning forums like this one, that I have set to automatically sort by their original post date (rather than by latest reply), will revert
- The Birthday thing
- Forum Announcements
Some of the stuff is greatly improved, like the Polls & Events, and, particularly, The Photo Album ...

Gathering update: As we speak, Gadget Girl is wandering the hills in search of your beds! And, what a glorious Fall weekend it is! Colors are spectacular! So, we'll be updating the 2003 Gathering Page as soon as we hear her decision!
Meanwhile, some thoughts:
- No one has yet come forward to volunteer to coordinate, and run, our yearly raffles. This begs the question: Do we even want to do the raffles this year?
- Itinerary dilemmas ... A lot will depend on offers made, but do we do Biltmore? If so, how long an excursion? And if we opt for half a day, what do we combine it with, CRP? Nolichucky or Dupont? Still unresolved. Maybe both? If so, what goes? The movie ... a request has come in to see it on Sunday night, the Grand Finale. OK, sounds good, but what of the raffles? Or, are we even doing them? Complicated, isn't it!?!
 - Where's the Program Guide crew this year? OK ... maybe we'll do it, with Mary G.

Upcoming: Finally, a new Ramparts from Tim Cordell will be up by next weekend. This one will touch on three major events, with lots of pictures. I can't wait! Don't forget, in the Classified Ads are Tim's prints for sale - very reasonably priced, I might add. I've got the entire set here, and they are quite good!
Reminders: Check out the Photo Albums ... some good pics in there! And, any reenactor with a web site, you can have it added to the Board, ala Chauncey's, if you just e-mail us the particulars ...
