In the very beginning, when I first conceived the idea of doing a Guide Booklet, there was an obvious focus on the 1992 film version of The Last of the Mohicans, but, at the same time, as owners of the little guide are aware, there was a conscious effort to intertwine the history as well as the Cooper novel into the mix. I think I succeeded, to some extent, at least as much as was possible in such a little volume.
Next came the Web Site, of the same name, where again we made an effort to include as many aspects of the Mohicans tale as we possibly could, including the history as well as the Cooper novel. Again, I think we succeeded, especially in the history area! And, of course, that's still evolving!
Then, along came the Mohican Board. Discussion obviously centered on the main theme - 1992 LOTM - but gradually spread into other related areas. Most recently, though, it's finally beginning to approach where we had always hoped it would ... a nicely "balanced" discussion "group" where the film, the history, and the novel are all a prominent part ... [still have some work to do on the novel part] ...
Just wanted to say thanks to you for helping it be so! Remember, requests for additions & enhancements, both here and on the main site, are always welcomed and seriously considered.

Rich,
I'm glad to see you're much happier with the board. I know that was a sore point for you for quite some time. I believe moving to the Snitz format helped in that area as it makes it much easier to categorize discussions... unlike the old board. Now, you don't have to wade through threads you feel you may not have any interest in and go straight to the threads you prefer.
Thanks for your efforts in that regard. Forums are only as good as the effort that's put into them.
