Ok ... this new version of Bumppo's is in place, walls & all, and has been since May 17 ... [the very day, back in 1876, that Custer began his ill-fated sojourn to the Little Bighorn, but who cares?].
My verdict? I absolutely love it!
It's confusing, a bit, because I'm so used to the old format and there are so many new options & features, but I'm beginning to get the hang of it ... it is a major upgrade to our Web Site. I love the way it organizes & categorizes ... very slick, neat, and compartmentalized ... Perhaps I'm so fond of it because it's the exact opposite of my home - Where's the iron? Anybody know where a towel is? Shirt? Nail clipper? WHERE'S MY BEER!?!
Anyway, as one young lass has pointed out [Dutchie!], there are a lot of "boards," with more to come, but really they are no more than threads, on the old board, only more efficiently organized & displayed ... a lot less clutter! I can actually find my shirt! Remember, though it is all neatly arranged, there is no absolute ... try to maintain a semblance of order, but don't fret too much! 
So ... FYI ...
The whole she-bang is the Mohican Board - actually 2 Boards, broken down into CATEGORIES - The Mohican Board & The Against All Odds Board. These were two separate & distinct boards back in the old format, but with this new set-up, can be managed as one. Both have different URLs, and I'm beginning to set up the links so that only one or the other is visible, but clicking on the Mohican Board graphic WILL display them both.
Then, within each CATEGORY, you will find a bunch of FORUMS - each covering a somewhat different subject - Only I can set-up up a FORUM, but will gladly do so for you if you've got a request. Under the various FORUMS, we've got our TOPICS - basically the threads of the old system, I guess. These, you can establish. The systems works down through these levels!
Clicking on the Active Topics link, up in the right-hand corner, functions, more or less, like the "View Today's Posts" on the old board. Log-in first to gain maximum benefit!
Now, SUBSCRIPTIONS - you can subscribe to the Board & receive E-mail notification of new posts. This can bring in a flurry of E-mails and is purely optional. You can subscribe to the ENTIRE BOARD, a particular CATEGORY, or a FORUM, or a just a TOPIC. You subscribe by clicking on the pencil looking thing next to the forum or topic. To adjust your settings, click on the My Subscriptions link - not visible, I don't think, until you actually have an active subscription.
Hope that clears up these issues a tad ... or, did I completely muddy the waters?
Remember, though I initially set up the thing to display both boards at once [Mohican & Against All Odds], and they will continue to do so if you've got it bookmarked that way, they are really two distinct boards rooted in two different sites. The Against All Odds board, traditionally, gets about a post a week - even slower now, I imagine, because of the emptiness of it.

OK ... that's pretty much it this week - I've been busy getting everything to work properly throughout the site, so most new things are merely minor alterations. What's New! The Gathering - 2002 Version - is just a few weekends away! My, how time FLIES! 2002 Great Mohican Gathering [Hey, I gotta love a board that has, as one of its color options, Dodger Blue!]
Have a great Memorial Day Weekend, and do THINK about what it all means!
