Happy Labor Day Weekend to All!
Wow! The On the Trail of the Last of the Mohicans Web Site has been BOOMING of late ... averages are up significantly. Love it!
Around the Site: We added, finally, a navigational bar up top of every page! Hope that makes it a little easier ... one complaint we sometimes get is that it's hard to move around. It is ... 'cause it's so damned big and built in bits & pieces over 5 years plus ... Hopefully, those links will assist! The 2003 Gathering page was moderately updated ... still can't figure out the process to get the top posts regarding the Gatherings from this Board to show there ... currently, all you'll see is a tiny little empty box up near the top. Eventually, that will be a direct connection to the Gathering Forum! Down the road, just a spell, will be a new Ramparts from Mr. Tim Cordell! Tales from Montreal ....

Around the Board: Well, I continue to fiddle with things! This is quite addictive! But, all for the common good!  - Jump To Last Post: Clicking on those blue arrows that you will now see during your Board visits will take you directly to the last post in that thread. Very handy! [NOTE: Works accurately only with posts made since I added this feature in!]
- Photo Album: Hmmm ... not yet working, but IT WILL BE! Accessible through the Board's main page [see down above the Statistics area]. It is what it says: you'll be able to upload images directly from your PC to share with the rest of us. You must ask "permission" first, and there are limitations as to number & size, but it could prove interesting and a dandy addition!
- Page Generator: See that little number at the bottom of every page? It's telling you, in seconds, how long that page took to load. Helpful in troubleshooting.

From "The Very Good Idea" Department: Seamus' suggestion of having a Gathering, of sorts, up in Pennsylvania has me really enthused. That is a great package of historical sites he's put out there - very relevant to the story of The Last of the Mohicans - could really be a treat if it were to come to pass. See the Poll. Not too much has been discussed, but Ilse asked the question about timing. I like the idea of having it in conjunction with the Mohican Gathering - either right before or after - but it could also be instead of one year, or ... who knows?!? We'll see what develops.
The News Reel: After all this time, I finally got my hands on the DVD of the news segment done of us at CRP during this past Mohican Gathering. Excellent little segment! Chris & Eric & Stan ... you all look so good & had great [and humorous - Stan!] things to say! As for me ... I didn't look too good, but sounded halfway intelligent!  Great piece ... will try to add it to the Web Site's Video Gallery down the road ...
