Okay I watched the movie in class and I totally don't understand it and now I have to write a short summary and movie review. Is Uncas the Mohican or is Chinkgagook (sp?)? Or is it Hawkeye?

I am very disappointed in you LurkingHuron6550.

Hawkeye is English and the adopted son of Chingachgook. His parents were killed when he was very young and he has no memory of them. Uncas and Chingachgook are Mohicans. Uncas is the son of Chingachgook. He dies at the end of the movie, leaving his father as the---Last of the Mohicans!

You have missed the beauty and richness and romanticism of this movie. Please watch it again.

Oh Morgaine, I'm afraid you've allowed LurkingHuron6550 to forgo the pleasure of digging up the information for him/herself. My advice would be as Morgaine's and that is to watch the movie again. I have a question...is this for a literature class or history?

I know, Theresa. I made it too easy for LurkingHuron 6550. I couldn't resist. Maybe he/she will take our advice and watch the movie again and share the review with us.

We're waiting to hear from you, LurkingHuron6550!

I was going to suggest that LH8041 especially if this was for a literature class. What about it LH6550? As someone in education, I'm curious.
