I was there at the 250th anniversary of the battle back in 2008, and I used to stop by there on my way to Crown Point every summer. Shortly after the 250th event they got a new director, Beth Hill. She had been at Fort Dobbs in Statesville, NC., which is a place I visited a LOT. There, she took a site which was basically a hole in the ground and turned it into a major event. And also laid the foundation for the fund raising to reconstruct the original fort which was opened last year. She has done an amazing job at Ticonderoga. If you get back, try to meet her if you can.
