Poll Question:
Registration will be upon us before we know it, and I'm sure most of you are wondering about costs. Here is a rough outline and estimate for the Day at Cherokee and what it will cost: (breakfast on your own) Museum admission, Ocunaluftee Indian Village, box lunch, afternoon program, traditional Indian dinner and admission to Unto These Hills for about $55-$60 each person. This is subject to change because the prices for 2003 have not been set yet, so this is only an estimate. The afternoon program is where I need your help. We have a choice (and also it will be based on availibility) of various speakers such as a guided walk to a farmstead, or a dancer and speaker in full regalia, or we can do crafts. The problem is that crafts cost an additional $15 per person for materials. I do not yet know what craft it will be, and won't know until a month or so before the Gathering, but I would imagine beadwork or small baskets. So, would you rather have a speaker, performer, or spend the extra $15 for crafts?
