Hi all and congrats on this active and informative board.
I live in Canada and vacation often in upstate NY. I have been to the replica fort in Lake George and have seen most of the sites from the F&I, independance and 1812 wars.
Recently, there was and ad and blurb on TV about the cave depicted the LOTM book that exists on what's called the Mohican's trail part of the Lakes to Locks Passage tourist area. I looked on the LtoL and the Heritage trails websites but no info.
Any help here as I would like to follow the geography in hte area even though it has been overun by development. (Nothing against the Great Escape Park).
And, to add to your (or anyone's) trip to Cooper's Cave, check out the big, beautiful painting of Cooper's Cave than hangs in the lobby of the nearby Queensbury Hotel, 88 Ridge Street, Glens Falls. It was painted by Griffith Coale as mentioned in the D. Starbuck book Massacre at Fort William Henry. (My daughter loves these 'enhancers' that I track down on our many trips to NY!).
