Hey gang,
Is anyone here very good with needle point? If so, I need your help.
I have a tanned, cotton canvas with a width of 2ft. 10 in. and a length at 2ft. 3in. I would like for three words, in black, to be sown onto it, horizontally. The words are:
Remember.
Reclaim.
Restore.

I'd like to use it in time for a demonstration on Alamo Plaza on, or around, March 6th.

Wade,
Do you really mean "needlepoint?" Or do you mean embroidery? Or could it be done with applique? That is fabric cut into letter shapes and stitched or fused onto the canvas.
Here is an idea that you might be able to do yourself, as you are a very artistic young man. Consider using iron-on letters. If you can't find the right size and font to purchase, you can make your own. There is a sewing product called Stitch Witchery This is an iron-on fusible web that can "glue" two pieces of fabric together.
You could get some black fabric and fuse a sheet of the Stitch Witchery to it. Then, draw or trace on your letter shapes and cut them out. Peel off the other backing and press the letters onto your canvas. The exact instructions on how to use it are on the package.
Voila! You have your flag. |
