Guess I'm in the vast minority of women who are hot for Magua!! No offense to Uncus, he's certainly good looking, but IMO he definitely plays second fiddle to Mr. Bad Guy lol!! It's obvious Magua's been in a few battles - facial scars, broken nose - and for some reason I find this (word edited out by Moderator. Blasphemy is not acceptable here. Seamus, Moderator) sexy as hell...oh, and not to mention the fact that he's got a hotter body than guys half his age, and his hairdo rocked! Major props to Wes Studi who must have worked out seriously hard for the part. Anyway it's so strange because the 1st time that I saw LOTM, like I say it was about 8 years ago, I was totally into Uncus! Perhaps as time goes on I'll become attracted to Chingatchgook?!
Ok, fangirl gushing over...for the time being lol XD

Now just what would you know about a "real woman" Obi
Welcome to the board Lily and may I say I can appreciate Magua's manliness and see where you are coming from. He is older and a more experienced warrior, proven in battle unlike the young Uncas. I too have come to appreciate him more but Uncas will always be #1 in my books.
As for Chingy, well I am already attracted to him. As we get older our tastes in men do tend to change and we can appreciate men of all ages. It is not all about looks afterall, some men just attract us and are "sexy" in their own way. |

lol thanks obediah and irish. Ahh well yes Obi (love the av btw...Mr. Wright is a talented man), you know a real woman when you see one .
irish, yes you're entirely right, it's not all about looks; I also find Magua sexy because he does have a valid reason for his actions, even if he takes it too far in his desire to kill Monroe's children. He is so driven to succeed because of how he was wronged, and anyone who gets in his way becomes expendable. It's the danger element of this - the fact that you would never really know just where you stood with him - and somehow to me that's sexy. Also, he's a rebel. His heart may be twisted according to Hawkeye but I don't see it this way. He's simply rebelling and choosing capitalism! And if it hadn't been for 'ol Chingy (he has kind of an unfortunate name if you happen to know spanish lol) then I could see Mags one day becomes the Donald Trump of the Hurons lol. Wonder how they would say "you're fired" in Huron?
btw Seamus, sorry for my blasphemous comment lol...I didn't mean no harm, honest. |

Your admiration for Magua is certainly well-founded.
He has many good qualities.
PS: lilyvonstudt, based upon your "mohicanland name" I would think you are a fan of Madeline Khan's character in the Blazing Saddles movie? |

"I'm not a wabbit! I need some west!"
Where was Kanye when she needed him???
Btw I know the spelling of my mohicanland name is different. I never researched Blazing Saddles in the internet, and to me always her name sounded like Studt. LOL!! |

After YET ANOTHER viewing of LOTM over the weekend, I have to say that Wes's voice is rather attractive...But I can still never forgive Magua for killing Uncas |

I too felt upset when poor Uncus met his death, not because of any attraction I had to him but rather just because his death was so unnecessary, like the deaths of so many in war. Unfortunately Mags was just doing what he had to, no emotion involved.
Everytime I watch the scene of Magua's death, I'm thinking "that's a very bad Chingy!!!" but the reasons why it was necessary that Mags died are not completely lost on me lol . |
