Hey guys. I responded to a post on here yesterday but thought I'd start my own topic. Two days ago, I was browsing through Youtube and came across an absolute gem. It is a perfect copy of the entire Prometory song directly from the movie.
Somehow this user ripped the music from the movie and removed all the sound effects. He was able to produce an MP3 at CD quality. It is certainly valuable to me as I like many of you have been looking for a copy of this for over a decade.
I still feel the most beautiful part of the song is at its most tragic, the death of Uncas and Alice as well as the "revenge" part of the Irish jig.
It's just as simple as that. This guy did an AMAZING job & I could easily watch this video again & again - sort of like a mini-version of LOTM!
And I can't help wonder yet again - especially with the popularity & longevity of THIS wonderful website (THANK YOU, RICH!) - do you think that Michael Mann has ANY idea of how big this film really is???
Rattlesnake Woman
"The earth does not belong to us; we belong to the earth." - Chief Seattle
Jack McCall: "Should we shake hands or something, relieve the atmosphere. I mean how stupid do you think I am?" Wild Bill Hickok: "I don't know, I just met you."
"A nation with no regard to it's past will have little future worth remembering." A.Lincoln
"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize that they were the big things"
Hey guys. Remember to look at the "About this video" section. He has a link where you can download the track yourself. I've already put it on CD and heard it in my car and the quality is awesome. Enjoy!
