Hah! Beat ya! About 30 here, and a touch of frost on roofs and cars. (Hope my hanging baskets survived!)

Hmmm, well y'all both beat me because it is about 60 this morning, but when I went outside, it felt so good. It was just a little cool with a nice breeze blowing. This is my kind of weather. Unfortunately, it will be getting hotter today, so I'm going to get out there and enjoy it while I can!!!

Love,
Kay

To get into the 80's today and I'm lovin' it. Summer has come early here although rain is predicted for tomorrow but still up in the 70's.

No global warming? Yeah, right...
It's already 10 degrees warmer than "normal" and we're already kicking the summer in with triple digits here in Arizona. Looks like it's going to be a long one...

Not that simple caitlin, - if it's "hot where I am" early in the year", that's all the proof I need. It's been way below average here, for all of April, and May's been cooler than normal also. In fact the low 40's tonight, and the rest of the month looks below average too. That doesn't mean a new Ice Age either. Where I live now, ten thousand years ago was covered by about 100 ft. of ice, - not a sign of it today. Now THAT's global warming, - and no nasty factories or rush hour traffic to blame. There's no question that the climate is changing, - that's something that's been going on since the beginning of time, - and will contuine to happen going forward. People tend to be so self-centered they see themselves as the "center of everything" - when in fact we're only a piece of sand on a very large beach. Our contribition to "things", good or bad, is barely measurable, - and frankly we don't have the background/history/intelligence to truly determine/know exactly were we fit in, - in the over-all picture. Not to say we don't have an abundance of folks with large mouths and matching ego's - but they have no more insight than anyone else. Have a good, - if a tad warm day ... ;)

Caitlin, I'm going to have to agree with MG (ewwwww!). Since those 2 really hot days at the end of April, it has been much cooler than normal here in the Central Valley. Today, in fact, the temp won't get above 88! I'm keeping a close eye out for them thar glaciers!

Well, I guess I should have said that the weather just seems to be more erratic. We had some cooler than "normal" days here too. I can't help to think we aren't contributing to it somehow though...

I don't know a whole lot about "Global Warming" MG, but I have to agree with Caitlin that we do contribute to it somehow. Just think of all of the people in the world and the body heat from each person has to kind of make the world a little warmer. Just kidding about the body heat but I honestly think that a big part of "Global Warming" is due to cutting down trees and building more and more houses and stores. There is alot of development around here in Aiken, and I cringe every time that I see trees being cut down to make way for a fancy condo development, strip mall, or heaven forbid another Wal-Mart!!! We need trees for carbon dioxide, but if we keep going the way that we are, then one day we won't have any trees left. Then what will we do? I know that it might be centuries away, or it may never happen, but if we keep treating Mother Nature the way that we do, she might just give us a spanking!!! Anyway, that is just my opinion.

Love,
Kay

I agree that men contribute to the unusual weather patterns. I don't think we cause them, rather I believe we intensify them.

The earth does go through natural warming and cooling trends, since it is still a developing planet. It appears the earth does this due to polarization. This has a lot to do with the polar pull of all the planets and their orbits. (I love astronomy.)
Warming trends tend to last for many decades before a cooling trend will kick in and vice-versa.

Global warming? Yeah, it exists - but I believe it to be natural.

I live in my own little world - but that's okay, they know me here!
