Ah yes, the SYW. Winston Churchill called it "the first WORLD war." That's the war which turned Britain into a major world power & turned France from a major world power into a major European power! |

Did you mean "power" or "pains in the rear"? Sorry couldn't help myself! |

Hey guys, I need some help here. I have a for-real F&I tomahawk head, but no shaft. And of course, the shaft rotted away long ago. There was no silver butt ornamentation with the head. The head is in unusually good shape. Where can I find a curly maple shaft for this?

Let's see, the English were some of the first to try biological warfare and ethnic cleansing, all in one fell swoop: smallpox-laden blankets which the obliging Redcoats gave to the American Indians. Of course, the Brits never could get it quite right, but a darn sight better than the French. Just in case anyone has missed it, check out this webpage on the military history of France:

Oh, WW will get a great kick out of this, "Mess-yer Lay-Fran-say." |

Nah, if I was picking on our British brethren, I'd be calling them "Limeys." Of course, if I was really picking on the French, I'd be using the term "Frogs!" At least I capitalized the terms here!
When you think about it, the Colonials already did the picking, starting about 1775, (except of course the great percentage of them who were loyal to the Crown & got exiled to Nova Scotia or some old Carribbean island for their troubles). Come to think of it, NS was only vacant because of the Brits 1st try at ethnic cleansing: when they kicked all the Acadians out into the wilderness! Yeah, maybe I am picking on the Brits, but they deserve it! |

Hi Obediah,
Speaking of Torries loyal to the British, what is the actual percentage of those living in America at the time who supported the American cause in the Revolution. Several of my white ancestors fought in this war, including George Washington and Henry Lee. I say the actual percentage of those who fought the British was never more than ten to twenty percent of American colonials. Correct me if I'm too low on these fiqures. |
