Someone else please feel free to post a real "Thought for the Day." I just thought I'd relate a couple of funny typos from student papers this semester. They're good for a laugh, I think! They are real quotes, mind you, not made up!


On defense works used in ancient cities:
"Many ancient cities were surrounded by huge fornication walls to keep out enemies."

On monumental architecture in ancient Egypt:
"Pharaoh achieved monumental erections thanks to slave labor."
