... once again proving that you can never please everyone!
Regarding this page: Ishi: A real life The Last of the Mohicans ...
We received this E-mail:
I HAVE READ THIS ARTICLE. I MUST SAY THAT I HAVE NEVER READ A MORE BIGGOTED, ANTI-AMERICAN PIECE OF TRASH IN MY LIFE.
To Ishi I say……’ sic simper tyrannas ‘.
Always interesting around here! C'est la vie!

Amen.
I, too, think Ishi's story is fascinating. I first read it many years ago, and am still fascinated whenever I read it now.....wish I'd have known him. |
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting '...holy sh*t ...what a ride!'

How on earth could anyone possibly construe that beautifully-written article to be anti-American????? I just don't get it at all. (Let me guess... was that email from the lately-departed-upon-request "Q"?)
I had never heard of Ishi until I saw the documentary mentioned on TV a few years back. It was, indeed, fascinating and incredibly sad. I cried.
