Poll Question:
Time for our every-8-or-9-year demographics poll!

What are you? A SYMT? Or, a GGGG?

Not sure what that even means? See This Thread!

Choices:

Why of course, I'm a SYMT!
Well, I guess I'm a GGGG!
On the fence!

OK, Rich... what were the demographics when we originally had this discussion? Is our group aging? Or are we gaining younger members faster than we oldsters are falling off the top end? You are officially a GGGG now, aren't you? Welcome to the best group!

Well Rich, I have 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild, so I guess that makes me a GGGG. The SYMT days are long gone, but I am enjoying myself more now than I did in my younger days!!!

Although I look forward to the GGGG days, I'm not quite facing empty nest syndrome yet, so I guess I'm on the fence! 40 is always the middle road, isn't it? Have a great day everyone!

Well... much as sit pains me to admit it (MUCH pains me these days! The arthritis, the osteoporosis, the... ) I have to admit to being a GGGG!! I AM a Grandma... but... she is SUCH A WEE, LEEEETLE granddaughter, she hardly qualifies!!! So... I was TEMPTED to put 'in the middle'...

But as Chris pointed out, the GGGG'S really ARE 'the' best group to belong to! After all, we may have problems, but... it's a WIDE VARIETY of problems! And... isn't 'variety' the spice of life???? Hey, if ye've still got 'spice' in yer life, there ain't nothing coming over ye, is there?????

Kate (who WASN'T a GGGG when she first wandered into Mohicanland! Hmmmm... I wonder if that's significant??? )

Satchel Page once said "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?" So, since I can't remember my birthday anymore, I guess I must be SYMT.

"SYMT" reminds me a little too much of the Michael Jackson hit "PYT". Can I just be an MT? It's got the added bonus of being the abbreviation for "mount" ... Mt. Beth! Now, doesn't that have something going for it?

Chronologically speaking, I am somewhere in-between; but as for 'wear & tear' I am definitely closer to GGGG. Not so much for the production year, but rather for the mileage...

I like the SAMT too! Guess I still have a couple years to go before I feel comfortable in the "granny" category, although I'm old enough to be one...:-0

My son just met a new young woman, so I'm hoping it's still a LONG time before I become a granny -- at least a couple years. But I prefer to remain on the fence for a while even afterward. I have too many places to see and people to me!

Chris, I have no idea what the demographics were around here back in '97. I can't remember. Further proof that I really am in the GGGG group now!

Well, in spirit I'm a SYMT,
but running around after my kids makes my body sure feel like a GGGG!

Oh, Lord -- how well I remember that historic (more like hysteric)
thread! I was plain "Mary" then, as that was even before the Fabulous
Doc M was born...or hatched, or whatever terminology you choose.
Those were the days when I had to put a towel on my office chair
to keep from peeing all over the floor from laughing. We had a
great bunch of bizarre, cranky, funny old so and so's posting then,
and I miss them.
