"The Beast" I am referring to is pancreatic cancer.

Some of you here know that I lost my husband almost two and a half years ago to this beast of a disease. I am saddened today to have learned of the loss of a man who has been called the Greatest Operatic Tenor of the 20th Century. Luciano Pavarotti has been claimed by this horrible disease and his gorgeous tenor voice has been stilled. And the world of classical music will never be the same.
