I had to vote "Skins" here. I liked the grittier look at res. life. Also, the combo of Graham Greene and Eric Schweig is pretty hard to beat. I enjoyed "Smoke Signals". Sherman Alexi writes some great books- I really enjoyed, "The Toughest Indian in the World".
skins was a good one... i've been in the area a few times, conditions &c portreyed are dead on... the only 'real' business showed in whiteclay is h&m, all others are fictional... unfortionatly little has changed there ...
sherman alexi has another out, 'the business of fancydancing' - have only seen parts of it... would like to see 'indian killer' or 'reservation blues' as movies...
'clearcut' is confusing unless you understand what grahm greenes character is...
