Before deciding where to bunk, I would like to have a definite itinerary first. If we are definitely visiting Cherokee for the day and evening, which is a great idea, then Asheville is closer (tho' still a fair distance away)and certainly more convenient to the range, restaurants, and Dupont. Some may even choose to stay overnight in Cherokee if we don't have to get up before the crack of dawn the next morning. Even tho' I am Lost in the Wilderness I would like to sleep in til the dew dries up. Just dreaming, huh?
How far is Asheville to Linville area? in time that is?
Like Diane B. we may be rv-ing and will be looking for a NICE campground in the Asheville area. Stephanie, if you know of any, please let us know.

No dew?!? What fun is that??? No wonder you're "lost in the wilderness"!!!

Linville is far from everywhere! Those who took the Parkway this year to the Sunrise can better tell you the time via that route. If you go I-40 to Highway 221 N, it's probably in the area of an hour & 20 minutes ... give or take 2 miles, or so! |
