Hello Claudia!

Of course you are welcome here as a German woman... or as any other kind of woman too!

Feel free to jump right in, ask questions, offer opinions, or just chat. Which culture do you want to learn about: Modern American, 18th century American, or Mohican and other Native American? We'll do what we can to help.

Vilkommen!

Hi Claudia,
First of all, I want to make sure that you understand that none of us here in Mohicanland (as far as I know) are from the actual Mohican tribe. We have many different backgrounds, and there are quite a few who are of Native American heritage. But I don't believe that there are any here who are Mohican.

Now, as to your question, you could start with a page or two right here on this website: www.mohicanpress.com/mo08014.html

And here is a link to the website of the Stockbridge-Munsee band of the Mohican tribe: www.mohican-nsn.gov/ You can click on the link "Mohican History" for more information about their history.

Here is another one to take a look at: www.dickshovel.com/moh.html

And another: www.geocities.com/bigorrin/mohican_kids.htm

Then try this one: www.lclark.edu/~bekar/Mohicans.htm Click on the "Culture" link.

I hope these leads will help you to find the information you are looking for.
