I own both of the LOTM soundtracks. I personally, like them about the same, but I love that Trevor Jones has more of the Promontory than Randy Edelman does. Tell me, what LOTM soundtrack do you like better? (I'm sorry that I can't really describe the two soundtracks..so I hope that you know of the two that I'm talking about.) --Nora

LOL, well I am wondering which ones... I have two. The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (with the fire behind Nathaniel pic) and the Joel McNeely/Royal Scottish National Orchestra Origial Motion Picture Score (with Nathaniel and Cora on a blue-toned cover with the fort in the distance).
But both Jones' and Edelman's names are on both covers and both worked on the music... so I'm not sure where you're going with your question. I can't read the time on the Score for the Promontory track, but it doesn't look as though it's as long as the Soundtrack one.
I haven't sat and compared the two, but I usually go for the Soundtrack.
BTW, anyone notice "Promontory" is spelled wrong on the Soundtrack cover art?

Yes..those were the two that I was talking about. I just wanted to know which one you liked better. "Promontory" on the score..is shorter..but it goes to the part of Uncas getting killed..and the music there is gorgeous. Where as the soundtrack they cut it off before then. Sorry for the confusion. :(

The music is just beautiful in this movie. I love it and will have to get the soundtrack soon. The music combined with the beautiful scenery helped make the movie the best it could possibly be. |

I have to say that I am in love with the music from the movie. Especially the song titled I Will Find You by Clannad. If you agree and like the sound of that music than I strongly recommend you listen to the group called Enigma if you havent already. Their music is similar to Clannad. It has a peaceful yet seducing sound to it. |
