The arrogant General Webb, of the famous line regarding the French and what they would rather do. Funny line... horrible man.

"It is more deeply stirring to my blood than any imaginings could possibly have been."

Alice. She had that perpetual DUH look on her face in every scene. I have seen Jodhi in other movies and was impressed by her acting skills. She was horribly miscast in LOTM.

Duncan. I know many folks have said he was noble and brave and etc. but I basically found him to be a simpering, arrogant, imperialist twist right up until the final scene where he gets all brave for Cora. Sorry, he wasn't hard on the eyes, but I couldn't stand the guy. Didn't particularly cry when this particular shrimp hit the barbie...(excuse my irreverence...)

Kaya,

I see what you're saying, but I have to disagree about miscasting Jodhi as Alice. I thought she did a splendid job of portraying a young girl in shock (DUH looks and all)! And let's face it - she wasn't prepared for ANY of the violent, horrible things she witnessed. Her performance in the cliff scene is one of the most memorable for me, especially the first time I saw the movie. The looks between her & Magua were unforgettable!

My least favorite character in the beginning was Duncan - telling Cora she needed to listen to her father and HIM! But the Huron who tied up Cora and Alice...he was pretty scary!
