Hello. I am happy to say that this is my first official time writing on the board. I'm only 13, but I have to say that I love the movie, and watch it almost every day. Now, for my question. I hope I'm not alone here, but I am extremely in love with Uncas. Everything about him gives me butterflies. Now, I can't help it, but at the end of the movie, I can't help but ball my eyes out. I just think its the sweetest thing that he would give up his life to save the woman he loved. Not to mention, that he looks so brave and adorable while trying to save her. Now, is anyone else out there is upset by Uncas's death as I am?

You are not alone. There are a lot of Uncas fans here, including myself. I love LOTM as a whole, and I am not ashamed to admit that the first time I watched it, I cried my eyes out when Uncas and Alice died. The Uncas/Alice story is one of my favorite parts of the movie.

[font=Book Antiqua]Yes I definately agree! At first I had to keep rewinding the movie...I was thinking "wait...there must be a mistake! They cannot both die! Noooo!" |

I LOVE Uncas as well! In love totally And even though they both die, I think their story wouldn't be so romantic so tragic so wonderful at the same time. Does anyone feel the same?I think that it added so much to the movie. If it had a great happy ending it wouldn't have the same effect. Man...I love this movie!!!It's awesome!!!Not to mention the terribly hot Uncas |

I totally agree! Uncas is the hottest thing I have ever seen! lol. I know, the ending to the movie is so bittersweet, which is why it's so great. Still, it's no incredibly sad how they die..ugh, I'm gettin sad over here! |

Yup, I am 100% a fan of Uncas. I do cry everytime I watch the death scene, especially when Chingachgook has that look of rage and despair as he runs up the cliff after Uncas falls to his death. |

Yeah, Uncas is the one I find the most attractive in the movie. Im totally attracted to his character. I wont dispute that DD-Lewis is a good looking man, but Uncas is THE ONE! |

i was thinking if Uncas saved Alice, but both lived in the end..it would be a relief..but it won't be the love story we all totally lurve.... i think Alice jumping to her death is extremely significant...'cos we wouldn't know how she really felt about Uncas if she didn't want to join him in death..it's pretty clear how Uncas felt for Alice..but only through Alice's sorta suicide that we know she felt deeply for him too.... yeah..so though the ending is totally heartbreaking...it's reallly moving |
