Poll Question:
I'm looking forward to picking up the new "Indiana Jones" DVD box set. Has anyone bought it yet? Is it worth it? Any hot "extras"? If anybody has any feedback on this set please pass it on! Any and all info appreciated. Also, which is your favorite of the three films?

Choices:

Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Temple of Doom
The Last Crusade

I had to vote for "Raiders of the Lost Ark". I saw it with my parents at the local drive-in theater, a double feature with "Airplane!". My mom covered my eyes when the Nazi's started to melt. I loved how graphic "Temple of Doom" was, I'm really looking forward to seeing it widescreen again.

My kid has picked up the DVD boxed set. You could ask him what he thinks. He's a huge fan of the Indy Jones trilogy. Has bought several of the props that some guy from Aussie makes that are very nice pieces. He has the head piece of Ra for sure, and is talking about the gold idol next.

I vote for Last Crusade. Still had nazis in it (Nazis! I hate these guys) and Sean Connery who we both like. It was great to see the play between them. "Junior! Dad! Junior! Dad!"; "Look what you've DONE!"; "I'm sorry son, they got us"; "I wrote it DOWN so I wouldn't HAVE to remember it". "I've never had anybody try to kill me before. says Dad. Happens to me all the time. says Junior"
"You call this archeology?" It was great. Gotta go with that one. Rumor has it they may do another one. Hope that rumor is true. And soon. They both are getting no younger.

All three films are great, but my favorite is definitely the first one, "Raiders..." All three had some great funny moments, but my favorite is the scene in "Raiders" in which Indy is suddenly faced down by the gigantic guy with the sword (scimitar?) and is momentarily nonplused until he remembers that he possesses a gun.

My kid tells a story about that scene. May be legend, or may be from horses mouth I don't know and can't say. But according to my son, that scene was supposed to be much more involved in fight and scuffling but it seems Harrison Ford was suffering from diahrea all day and felt the call so to cut the scene short he did the gun thing and ran off to the porta johnny. They liked it so much they kept it in just as it was.
