Greenwood Publishing is putting forth a new book about the French and Indian War. It is due to be released in March of 2004, you can check it out and pre-order it at www.amazon.com and enter "French and Indian War 1755-1763" in their bookstore search engine.

I finally tracked it down...I couldn't find it using your suggestion Sgt. It gave me 13000 + choices. The title of the book is "The French and Indian War" by Alfred A. Cave. Due to be released in March of 2004 at a price of $45.00

I'm not sure who the artist is, or the title of the cover image, but it looks to me to be depicting an American Revolution battle. From the uniforms and clothing like the canadian cap and fringed riflemans frock and trousers, as well as the snow, the fact that it depicts a night engagement, and the wounded American officers I'd guess the painting is depicting Quebec 1775, perhaps the death of Montgomery. But that's just an educated guess, I'd have to do some more research on the image.

If I were writing a book about the French and Indian War, I'd select a cover image which depicts the French and Indian War, not the American Revolution.

Often it is the publisher who gets to choose the cover, and they care more about the "look" than accuracy.
