Did anyone happen to watch "Ed" last night? My favorite currently-quirky show, btw.

It had a cute, rather fluffy, and totally fictional (as far as I know) story line about the founding father of Stuckeyville, General Geoffrey Stuckey, and what he did (or more correctly... didn't do) during the Revolution.

But the fun and interesting thing was that the producers put out a call for re-enactors to be in the show a while back. Apparently a bunch responded (I know that the 11th PA was one), because they were scurrying all over the place in the background. I was having so much fun watching the goings-on behind the main characters that I almost forgot to pay attention to the main story lines!

Now guys, I'm sure there were all kinds of inaccuracies. But this was pure fluff! Who cares? And someone on the RevList, I think it was, said that the re-enactors were treated very well... and were well paid! Refreshing, huh?

I recall watching an episode of "Judging Amy" (I think) where her brother (I believe) had just joined a interpretive unit at Colonial Williamsburg and was so happy about it. Was all dressed up in Continental Uniform......with a full beard......*LOL* I was sitting there thinking about how CW would have made him shave that thing off....
