Another series of books, which serious F&IW buffs should look into are from William Nester (Professor of Government and Poltics, St. John's University in New York) a two volume set titled:

-The Great Frontier War: Britain, France, and the Imperial Struggle for North America, 1607-1755

-The First Global War: Britain, France, and the Fate of North America, 1756-1775

They are definately worth the read.

Your Humble Servant,

Serjeant-Major Duncan Munro
Capt. Thos. Graham's Coy.
42nd Royal Highland Regiment of Foote
(The Black Sheep of the Black Watch)

"Nemo Me Impune Lacessit"

"Recruit locally, fight globally."

Professor Nester also has published an excellent work on Pontiac's War titled "Haughty Conquerors: Amherst and the Great Indian Uprising of 1763".
