Lads and Lassies, A bit of a different War than the 7 Years, but this past weekend was the 225th anniv. of Monmouth. I haven't heard an exact count but there must have been approx. 700 Brits and 1000 Colonials?? Plus many, many camp followers (my twa lovely daughters Katie and Julie among them!). A personal thanks to Pvt. Chauncey Goodrich for singing a hymn at our worship service on Sunday. There were certainly good things and bad things about the weekend. But the Forty Twa, Grenadiers (of 1778) had a braw time. View of the photos at our website, www.muskets-of-the-crown.org....esp. the unit photo of all companies of the 42nd (about 55 soldiers). Huzzah! YMHOS Sjt. MacWilliam
Great photos Sgt MacWilliam!! And what a great turnout!
I had trouble with the link you posted, I hope you don't mind that I was able to get to the photos and will post a link to the page I landed on. Hope these were the ones you were pointing to!

It sounds (and looks) as though you and your lads had a grand time at Monmouth, Sarj. Once again, someone (Susan?) did a great job with the photos! Most enjoyable.
Be sure to read my post titled "History Alert" in the Movies, movies, movies forum. There is something there of interest to ye...
