Lost power last night (10.29.11) about 9:00 PM, VERY heavy wet snow with a lot of wind, high gusts to boot, trees down all over the place, - looks like the aftermath of a bombing in some areas. Reports are the power will be out for days in many areas, - I'm posting this with my generator running. Finding an open gas station or restaurant with power is tough, and the lines almost defy description. - If the grid went down
in winter, for whatever reason, - there'd be some VERY serious consequences.

| Man, MG ... long time! I remember several episides similar to this when I lived up in the boondocks of East Mountain, NY. Don't miss it. Actually, had a couple of extended power outages down here in NC in the 90s due to severe ice storms. Wishing you well!! |
