It is with great regret that I report that Jayne Langan, last year's Ariel's Auction coordinator extraordinaire, will not be attending this year's Mohican Gathering, and thus cannot do the Auction. It's not all bad, she's getting married - CONGRATS Jayne! - but news of this sort always goes through me with a chill ...
Anyway, before I say more, any takers for this role?
And thank you, Jayne, for carrying the torch for a year!

Congradulations!!! I say just bring him along!!! Or better yet. Have the wedding at Chimeny Rock. Think of the view.. LOL We will sure miss you.

Mohicanland does have that effect on you... I remember that I met my husband soon after the 1st Gathering....

| Hello to everyone! Thanks for the good wishes. Sorry to leave you in a lurch, Rich. But I couldn't very well announce the news to you guys before my own MOTHER found out! I'd love to be with you all in June, but it's either the Gathering or a honeymoon. Hmmm...interestingly enough, Don & I became acquainted while doing a backpacking trip in the Smokies in 1999. We've made several return trips to the area. Well, Cherie - maybe your idea WOULD work. Well, maybe not. Anyway - will watch the proceedings re gathering plans with much interest. After several weeks of absence from the board, I decided it's time to get caught up on things. I didn't realize how hard it would be to read about all of the preparations for Gathering VI knowing that I will not be attending! However, I am so excited about my sister's up coming wedding and that makes it much easier. I will sure miss seeing everyone and will be thinking about you all. Hopefully, we'll make it to Gathering VII!!

Thanks Theresa. I was kind of hoping Jim and I might make it after all, but with his resposibilities with his reenacting group it just won't be possible this year. Hopefully next year will work out better for us! Karen
