Exactly Rich, - a completely nuts approach to anything. ... The "norms" of years, decades or centuries ago cannot not be changed, and any fiscal or emotional effort to rewrite "things" to suit ourselves using today's standards, is self-centered almost beyond words. Having guilt for something that happened decades or even centuries before you were born is moronic. If "something" bothers you that much, then try and see it isn't repeated today. Should today's descendants of say the Vikings - lie awake at night feeling guilty??? ... Hopefully they aren't that stupid.
